About Westown Golf Club

Play Golf in Taranaki at "The Friendly Club".

Westown Golf Club is situated 8 kilometres from central New Plymouth, at 964 Mangorei Road, off State Highway 3 (4k towards the mountain).

The club is set in rural Taranaki beneath a picturesque view of Mt. Taranaki. The 18 hole course features tree lined fairways, well manicured greens and many challenging holes.

Westown Golf Club has the services of local golf professional Grant Moorhead for coaching. To arrange lessons please contact Grant on 021 465 344 or email grantmoorheadgolf@gmail.com.

The club shop is stocked with golf accessories from the locally owned Golf Zone.  The shop carries a selection of clothing as well as a variety of drinks and snacks.

As one of Taranaki’s leading courses there is always a friendly welcome for visitors be it locally, nationally or from overseas. Green fees are very affordable and available most days of the week. Please check with the office on 06 758 6933 or westown@golf.co.nz for availability. 

 

Tee Bookings 

Online Tee Bookings are available daily for members  at www.golf.co.nz or can be booked by using Kiosk in the clubhouse or ringing the office.

Green Fees

Visitors must pay green fees in the pro shop. If the shop is closed there is a facility to pay outside the office. Labels to be named and dated before putting in the slot. All bag tags must be displayed during the round.

18 Holes:  $30.00 Affilated

                  $35 Non-Affiliated

9 Holes:    $20.00 Affliaited

                  $25 Non-Affiliated

A limited number of golf carts are available to hire at $35.00 per round - office hours only.
