Play Golf in Taranaki at "The Friendly Club"
An enjoyable Golf Club in New Plymouth Westown Golf Club is situated 8 kilometres from central New Plymouth, on Mangorei Road, off State Highway 3. The club is set in rural Taranaki beneath a picturesque view of Mt. Taranaki. The 18 hole course features tree lined fairways, well manicured greens and many challenging holes. Westown Golf Club has the services of local golf professional Grant Moorhead (subject to playing commitments) for coaching. To arrange lessons please contact Grant on 021 465 344or email grantmoorhead@clear.net.nz . The club shop is stocked with golf accessories by the locally owned Golf Zone. As one of Taranaki’s leading courses there is always a friendly welcome for visitors be it locally, nationally or from overseas. Green fees are very affordable and available most days of the week. Green fees
Visitors must pay green fees in the pro shop. If the shop is closed there is a facility to pay outside the office. Labels to be named and dated before putting in the slot. All bag tags must be displayed during the round.
Fees payable: Affiliated players - $30.00 Non-affiliated players - $45.00 per round. For nine holes – affiliated $15.00 and non- affiliated $25.00
A limited number of golf carts are available to hire at $30.00 per round - office hours only. Ask about our loyalty card for green fee players.
